    DND International Eye Hospital’s Privacy Policy

    I. GENERAL PRINCIPLES

    1. This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) describes how DND International Eye Hospital (or “we”) collects, receives, aggregates, stores, uses, processes, discloses, shares and ensures the security of customer information of organizations and individuals (“Customers” or “You”). Customer information includes customers, agents, suppliers, contractors and partners that we collect when they:
    1.1. Use services provided directly at DND International Eye Hospital facilities in Hanoi, Bac Giang and Hai Duong;

    1.2. Access and use customer engagement channels owned by DND International Eye Hospital, including but not limited to:

    – Websites https://matquocte.vn/, https://haiduong.matquocte.vn . https://bacgiang.matquocte.vn
    – Websites and social media platforms and groups(such as Facebook, Instagram, …) owned by DND International Eye Hospital (“DND International Eye Hospital Channel”)
    Items (1) and (2) are collectively referred to as the “Services”.

    2. “Customer Information” includes any information or data that can be used to identify the Customer or from which the Customer can be identified, such as:
    – Full name and nationality.
    – Phone number, payment card details, and banking information.
    – Personal preferences.
    – Customer’s email address and place of residence.
    – Customer’s image.
    – ID card/CCCD information
    – Date of birth and marital status.
    – Insurance-related information.
    – Transaction history
    – Access log and customer journey data.
    – Biometric data (if any).
    – Medical/ health records.
    All of this information is considered “Customer Information”.

    3. The Customer has read, understood and agreed to the terms of the Privacy Policy. DND International Eye Hospital has the right to change, supplement and/or update the Privacy Policy at any time. At that time, the changes, supplements and updates will be announced on the website https://matquocte.vn/. The Customer’s continued access to and use of the channels of DND International Eye Hospital or continued use of the Services after the changes, supplements and updates have been announced will be considered as the Customer’s acceptance of the content of the Privacy Policy after it has been modified, supplemented and updated.
    4. This Privacy Policy is prepared in two bilingual versions, Vietnamese and English. In the event of any discrepancy between the two versions, the Vietnamese version shall prevail.

    II. CUSTOMER INFORMATION COLLECTED

    Customer Information is collected by us in the process of providing Services to you. Specifically, the types of information collected are as follows:

    1. Information provided by Customers
    1.1. We collect any information that you provide in connection with the Services in the process of conducting the following activities:

    – Use the Service at facilities under DND International Eye Hospital.
    – Register to open an account, log in, interact with the website or channels of DND International Eye Hospital.
    – Participate in seminars, customer events, contests, games, surveys/investigations or other events organized by DND International Eye Hospital.

    1.2. Customers are responsible for ensuring that the information provided is complete, accurate and up-to-date, in order to protect the rights of Customers according to the regulations of the use of the corresponding service. DND International Eye Hospital is not responsible for cases where Customers provide inaccurate or incomplete information according to the regulations of the Service.

    1.3. For Customers under 18 years of age, please ensure that you have the full consent and approval of your parents or legal representative to provide us with Customer Information. Parents or legal representatives will be bound by this Privacy Policy and responsible for the Customer’s conduct. We reserve the right to refuse Customers access to the DND International Eye Hospital Channel or provide related Services in the event that there is reason to believe that the Customer is under 18 years of age and has not received the above consent and approval from their parents or legal representative.

    2. Automatically Collected Information
    We automatically collect certain types of information when you interact with the Services.

    DND International Eye Hospital reserve the right to collect information and data related to the activities that Customers perform within the framework of the Service, including but not limited to:

    – Information, data about service and goods providers to Customers.
    – Transaction information performed by Customers, including type of goods, services, location and time of transaction.
    – Payment method (we do not store important payment card data such as detailed card number, CVV number or other authentication codes with equivalent legal value).
    – Device-related data, such as IP address, operating system, browser type, hardware specifications, UDID, MEIDs, location, address of the referring website (if any), pages that Customers visit from DND International Eye Institute Channel and mobile applications, number of visits, feedback, file name, version and advertising identifier and other related information (if any).

    3. Collection and Use of Cookies
    We use cookies, pixels, and other similar technologies (collectively, “cookies”) to do the following:

    3.1. Identify your browser or device to learn more about your preferences and interests in order to provide you with essential features and services.

    3.2. Identify you when you log in to use the Services. This allows us to provide you with recommendations, display personalized content, and provide other customized features and services.

    3.3. Keep track of the preferences you have agreed to. This allows us to respect your likes and dislikes, such as the language and configuration you choose.

    III. HOW DND INTERNATIONAL EYE HOSPITAL PROTECTS CUSTOMERS

    1. For DND International Eye Hospital, security is the highest priority. Our system is designed to ensure the safety and privacy of your information. All Customer Information is stored and secured by our system or service providers in accordance with the law and this Privacy Policy.

    2. When collecting data, we will make every effort within the permitted scope to store and secure Customer Information on the server system and this Customer Information is secured by firewall systems, access control measures, and data encryption. We have appropriate technical and security measures to prevent, to the maximum extent possible, unauthorized access and use of Customer Information. At the same time, we also regularly coordinate with security experts to update the latest information on network security to ensure the safety of Customer Information.

    3. Your payment card information issued by financial institutions is protected in accordance with international standards with the principle of not storing important payment card data (card number, full name, CVV number or other authentication codes with equivalent legal value) on our system. Your payment transactions are made on the system of the relevant bank or affiliated/service cooperating unit through the DND International Eye Hospital Channel.

    4. Customers must not use any tools, programs or other measures to illegally interfere with the system or change the data structure of any Service, nor perform any other actions to disseminate or promote activities with the purpose of interfering with, sabotaging or infiltrating the data of the DND International Eye Hospital system, as well as acts that violate Vietnamese law. In case we detect that you have violated the law, we have the right to transfer information about the violation to the competent authorities for handling in accordance with the law.

    5. You are responsible for protecting your account information and not providing any information related to your account, password or authentication methods (eg OTP) to access websites, applications, software and other tools (if any).

    6. We retain Customer Information to support your uninterrupted access of the Services, and for as long as necessary to fulfil the Purposes, or as required by law (including for tax and accounting purposes), or to carry out other tasks as notified to you in advance. The specific length of time we retain Customer Information varies depending on the Purpose. When Customer Information is no longer necessary for the provision of the Services or Purposes or DND International Eye Hospital no longer has a business or legal purpose to retain Customer Information, we will take steps to prevent access to or use of Customer Information for any purpose other than compliance with this Privacy Policy, or for safety, security, fraud detection and prevention purposes; or delete identifying information in Customer Information as required by law.

    IV. HOW TO USE CUSTOMER INFORMATION

    DND International Eye Hospital uses Customer Information to operate, provide and improve the Services for the following purposes:

    1. Providing Services:

    We use Customer Information to:

    – Provide Services and process transactions related to the Services, including registration and payment;
    – Recommend Services that may be of interest to you, identify your preferences and personalize your experience with the Services;
    – Carry out internal activities necessary to provide the Services, including troubleshooting software bugs and operational issues, conducting data analysis, testing and research, and monitoring and analyzing usage and activity trends;

    3. Compliance with Legal Obligations

    V. HOW CUSTOMER INFORMATION IS SHARED

    Customer information is an intergral part of our operations, and we do not sell our customers’ Customer Information to others. Sharing without consent: According to current law, Customer Information belonging to your medical information, according to the decision of the person in charge of the medical examination and treatment facility, can be shared by us to improve the quality of diagnosis, care, and treatment of patients among practitioners in the group directly treating patients; or for some subjects exploiting records, including interns, researchers, practitioners in the medical examination and treatment facility who are allowed to borrow medical records on-site to read or copy for research or technical work; or at the request of a competent authority of Vietnam.

    VI. ACCESS AND CHOICE

    1. Unless otherwise required by law, you may review, update, and delete certain information about your account and your interactions with the Services. If you are unable to access or update your information yourself, you may always contact us for assistance.
    2. You have many choices about the collection and use of Customer Information. Many Services include functionality that gives you options about how your information is being used. You can choose not to provide certain information, but then you may not be able to take advantage of some Services.
    – Account Information: If you would like to add, update or delete information relating to your account, please email info@matquocte.vn and follow our instructions. When you update or delete any information, we usually keep a copy of the previous version for technical purposes.
    – Contact: If you do not wish to receive promotional messages from us, please unsubscribe or adjust your communication preferences, email info@matquocte.vn and follow our instructions. If you do not wish to receive in-app notifications from us, please adjust your notification settings in the app or your device.

    1. Controller of Customer Information: International Medical Consulting and Investment Company Limited is the controller of Customer Information collected or processed under this Privacy Policy.
    2. Legal Basis for Processing:
    – Necessary to enter into a contract with you or an entity you represent, to perform contractual obligations, to provide the Services, to respond to requests from you, or to provide customer support
    – Where we have a legitimate interest, as described in Section 2 of this Privacy Policy;
    – Necessary to comply with laws and regulatory obligations;
    – To respond to lawful requests; or
    – Based on your consent.
    3. Your rights. By law, you have the following rights:
    – To ask whether we are holding Customer Information about you and to request a copy of that Customer Information and information about how it is processed;
    – Request to correct inaccurate Customer Information;
    – Request to remove Customer Information that is no longer necessary for the purposes of processing, information that is processed based on consent but that consent has been withdrawn, or information that is processed in a way that does not comply with the provisions of current law;
    – Request us to suspend the processing of Customer Information when the processing is inappropriate;
    – Object to the processing of personal data;
    – Request the transfer of Customer Information that you have provided to us (excluding information derived from collected information), where the processing of such Customer Information is based on your consent or contract and is carried out by automated means; and

Transfers of information outside the European Union: when we transfer Customer Information collected and stored in the European Union outside the European Union, we will do so in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy and applicable privacy laws. This may include transfers under data transfer agreements that include Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
